HOLY FAMILY YOUTH

For teens who are becoming, questioning, laughing, grieving, hoping, and growing.

We don’t expect teenagers to have it all figured out. We don’t expect them to be cool, or quiet, or certain. We expect them to be human.

And we commit to meeting them there.

HOLY FAMILY YOUTH

MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL

Twice a month, teenagers gather with mentors and peers after Sunday service. We check in. We eat snacks. We open Scripture and talk honestly about what we see there. We share what’s really going on. We pray for one another.

Every teenager will learn:

  • You belong in God’s family.

  • The world is a better place because you’re in it.

  • You matter to God.

  • You are exactly who God had in mind when God dreamt you up.

Throughout the year, road trips, workshops, and pilgrimages are offered for students to deepen their connection with God and each other.

Youth are also invited to participate in the service as a reader or by carrying the incense, cross, candle, or gospel book.

In the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, we live into our baptismal covenant by creating environments free of abuse, exploitation, and harassment through Safeguarding. Everyone who serves at Holy Family Episcopal Church must complete this safeguarding process, which includes training, a background check, references, and a personal interview before becoming a volunteer on our youth team.
