What I enjoy most about Holy Family is the home groups. Opening up our home and inviting people in twice a month seemed like a big deal to me and Tyler. There have been times when we felt unsure about our role as leaders of a group because we'd convince ourselves that everything had to be just right and if it wasn't, something must be off and we were at fault. We continuously pray to be reminded that true community is not dependent upon everything being perfect, but simply a group of people who strive to be honest, kind, supportive, and see one another grow in their faith and love for God.

Holy Family has blessed my life the minute I opened my heart to try. Trying has turned to flying. My soul feels more free than it ever has. Come feel it for yourself.

I think Holy Family has impacted me beyond the realm of what a normal church experience would for the simple fact that I began attending because Jacob graciously agreed to allow me to complete an internship, required by University of Houston, through the church. In doing this, I was able to dedicate more time to studying liturgy and getting to know the members of Holy Family. My internship ended and I will continue to be a part of this body of faith because the main focus of Holy Family is community. Through attending Holy Family, I have not just gained a place to worship every Sunday, but I have gained people to attend Gay Pride with, have margaritas on a Tuesday with, and go to community events with.

I love that Holy Family is a place where people can come and feel like they're part of the same tribe. Doesn't matter what your politics, socioeconomic status or sexual orientation are everyone is welcome. We're all one big family who likes to worship, eat, drink and just hangout with each other.

I recently came to a weird crossroads with my faith, ultimately leading me to step away from church and my Christian rhythms altogether. In my soul searching for a church, I could never find the right fit for me, which pushed me even further away from my faith. Once I stopped actively looking for a church, I happened upon Holy Family in a beautifully organic way, met Father Breeze, got to know members of the church and I was hooked. To truly feel at home at a church is rare for me, but I've never felt anything less in my time at Holy Family thus far. Obviously I'm not attributing sole credit to Holy Family for my reintroduction into my faith life, but God certainly used it as a vessel to pull me back in.

We have gotten the opportunity to work with Holy Family Child Care for the past few months and it's been nothing but a blessing. The children look forward to Sunday meetings as they are eager to partake in Communion and enjoy fellowship. It's awesome to see it instilled in them that church is something to find joy in and not just part of a routine.
